Neuromat Model Manager is a user friendly neural network modelling software, based on possibly the most advanced algorithm in the field.
The Model Manager is dedicated to performing non-linear multiple regression, i.e. data fitting. One of its unique features is its ability to warn when dangerous predictions are made. What does this mean ? Suppose that you train a model for y with, for example, a variable x taking values between 0 and 10. Surely, you remember that the model has not seen any data outside of this range. But what about your colleague or your customer ? Should he have the same faith in a prediction for x=8 and x=232 ?
This example might seem trivial, but anyone who has worked with problems with, say, 30 input variables, knows that keeping track of which part of the input space are well documented and which ones are not is virtually impossible.
With the Model Manager, this is not an issue. If a prediction is made for a point of the input space where little data was available during training, the program will show a large error bar, to indicate significant uncertainty on this result.
